What’s got me thinking this week:

Where is the sun???? I need the rays ASAP - and summer is around the corner. What’s everyone’s summer plans?

THIS WEEK’S EDIT:

Link to outfit

Lately I've been thinking about how different my priorities are now compared to ten years ago.

In my early 20s, I thought I wanted excitement.

I wanted the spontaneous plans. The butterflies. The packed social calendar. The relationships that felt intense and all-consuming. The "never know what's going to happen next" energy.

And honestly? Some of that was fun.

But now that I'm in my 30s, I find myself wanting completely different things.

In my 20s I wanted:

  • Excitement
  • Chemistry
  • Big personalities
  • Constant plans
  • Validation
  • To feel chosen

In my 30s I want:

  • Peace
  • Consistency
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Reliability
  • Someone who communicates
  • A life that feels stable

It's funny because if you had asked 24-year-old me what my dream relationship looked like, I probably would've described something very different than what actually makes me happy today and what my husband has brought to the table.

The things that used to sound boring now sound incredibly attractive and even the mundane activities suddenly sound much more exciting!

Someone who follows through.

Someone who communicates clearly.

Someone who makes life easier instead of harder and anticipates needs.

Maybe getting older isn't about becoming less fun but finding new hobbies and what actually matters🙂

I'm curious...

What's something you thought you wanted in your 20s that you realized you don't actually care about anymore?

(I'm going to do a poll on Instagram this week and share the answers in next week’s newsletter!)

Date night

A little romantic, a little moody, and proof that I apparently cannot quit brown tones lately.

This was one of those outfits that felt dressy enough for dinner but comfortable enough to actually enjoy myself.

Healdsburg weekend

The all-brown outfit that somehow convinced me brown might be my favorite color.

Wine tasting, wandering around town, and pretending I live in wine country full time.

Recipe of the Week

The internet got me again.

I stumbled across a smash burger taco recipe this week and immediately saved it.

Think burger meets taco with crispy edges, melty cheese, and minimal effort.

Honestly, this feels like the perfect summer dinner situation.

If you make them before I do, let me know if they're worth the hype.

  • 1lb ground beef or your choice of vegan?🙂
  • American cheese
  • Grilled onions
  • Lettuce
  • Mini flour tortillas
  • Thousand island dressing or you can make your own quickie In n Out type sauce

Press thin layer of meat on tortilla then fry up tortilla meat side down first in a pan. Flip when cooked and crisp up the other side and add cheese on top of meat until melted.

Top with onions, lettuce, thousand island sauce and serve! Super easy…super yum!

WHERE WE ATE

Horsefeather

The SF work dinner spot I'd absolutely go back to

Horsefeather has been on my list forever, and it finally lived up to the hype.

The vibe feels elevated without being stuffy, which makes it perfect for a team dinner, client dinner, or one of those nights where you want somewhere a little nicer than your usual neighborhood spot.

Horsefeather - SF

A few standouts:

  • Korean-style wings
  • Deviled eggs
  • Feta fries
  • Roasted cauliflower
  • Cocktails that are actually worth ordering

The menu leans Asian-inspired with a California twist, and everything felt designed for sharing.

It's one of those places where you order a few things for the table and suddenly everyone is reaching for "just one more bite."

Good for: Work dinners, team outings, visitors in town, and group dinners.

My rating: 9/10

More finds to save:

SF

Agrodolce

The pasta. The wine. The chocolate cake.

Need I say more?

A cozy neighborhood spot that feels like it should have existed forever.

Good for: Walk-ins, pasta nights, beer, wine

Okaeri Japanese Bistro

One of my favorite brunches in San Francisco.

The Japanese breakfast sets are comforting, thoughtful, and somehow make you feel like you've got your life together before noon.

Good for: Brunch, coffee dates, slow weekends

Mustard's Grill (Napa)

A Napa classic for a reason.

The Mongolian pork chop completely stole the show and is worth ordering every single time.

Good for: Date night, wine country weekends, taking visitors

NYC

KYU

The black sugar chai cinnamon roll is what you go for…

The wood-fired menu is what makes you stay…

Good for: Aesthetic dinners, date nights, and impressing out-of-town friends.

Ace's Pizza

Detroit-style pizza and cheeseburger pizza.

A dangerous combination for anyone who lacks self-control.

Good for: Walk-ins, casual hangs, and late-night cravings.

Nak's

Filipino brunch done right. We love the culture.

The salted egg yolk pancakes are worth the hype, but honestly the entire menu is fantastic.

Good for: Brunch, large groups, and introducing friends to Filipino food.

LA

Cafe Telegrama

One of the cutest brunch spots for those sunny LA days lately.

The blueberry pancakes were unreal, but don't sleep on the tuna sandwich.

Good for: Birthdays, brunch, catching up with friends.

Lou Eddie's Pizza

Possibly the most beautiful pizza setting I've ever seen.

Be prepared to wait but it is welllll worth it.

Good for: Day trips, lake weekends, casual dates.

Lapaba

A Korean-Italian fusion spot tucked into K-Town that feels like LA in the best way.

Great drinks, great atmosphere, and excellent people watching.

Good for: Happy hour, pre-concert dinners, girls night.

CLOSING VIBES

A few things I’ve been loving lately:

📺 Summer House reunion + The City

Holy moly.

The drama.

The side-eyes.

The accusations.

Ciara is absolutely reading everyone alive and I cannot look away.

Reality television is thriving right now and unfortunately I am thriving with it.

🎧 Audiobook disappointment of the week

I just finished The Swimmer.

Did I enjoy it?

No.

Did I stop listening?

Also no.

At some point I became too invested in finishing it to quit.

Would not recommend.

🏋️ Lifetime Gym

Okay... I get it now.

I've officially entered my Lifetime Gym era.

Current observations:

  • CTR is basically Pilates on crack.
  • GTX feels like Barry's Bootcamp's slightly less aesthetic cousin.
  • The rooftop pool is elite.
  • The sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, and recovery areas are dangerously convincing.
  • The locker rooms and showers are actually clean.
  • Everyone somehow looks productive and hydrated.

Am I paying entirely too much money for a gym membership?

Potentially.

Will I continue testing every class available and report back?

Absolutely.

Stay tuned.
